Best vacuum cleaner deals for April 2025

The vacuum cleaners we've selected are all models that scored well in our tests, although not all are Best Buys. You'll need to read the full review to find out if they're top performers.

• Bagless and cordless handstick vacuum cleaner

We like: Comes with a spare battery

We don't like: It's a bit noisy

This cordless, handstick vacuum cleaner from Bosch is bagless, but the dust container can only hold around 0.5 litres, so it will need to be emptied fairly regularly. 

The main floor head has LED lights to spotlight the dirt ahead. The vacuum automatically detects the floor type and adjusts the suction accordingly. Alongside the universal floorhead, it comes with a crevice tool and an upholstery brush.

Dyson V12 Detect Slim Absolute

We like: Easy to use

We don't like: Not the quietest

Like many Dyson models, this one comes with eye-catching features including a laser beam to highlight tiny dust particles on hard floors, and a digital screen that displays how many particles it's hoovered up. It also shows you the power mode (auto, eco or boost), the battery life, and sends maintenance alerts.

This model comes with a hair tool for animal fur and long hair, a crevice tool for cleaning nooks and crannies, a wand clip, a low reach adapter, a combination tool and a charging station.

Dyson Gen5detect

We like: Long run time

We don't like: Not the quietest

Dyson says this cordless vacuum has the longest run time yet and provides more suction than previous models. It has plenty of accessories and an LCD screen to show how many particles it’s picking up.

There's a detachable handheld unit and a host of nozzles and heads, including a motorised floor bar, an anti-tangle head for removing pet hair, a furniture and upholstery nozzle, and a crevice tool. You’ll also find a charging cable that can be used with or without the wall dock.

Numatic Henry Quick Pet

We like: Simple to empty

We don't like: Only average at retaining allergens

This cordless handstick from Numatic comes with an extra pet tool, as well as a furniture brush and a combi tool that doubles up as an upholstery nozzle. It also has a detachable handheld unit.

This is a bagged vacuum, which can be less messy than a dust container when it comes to emptying the dirt, but the dust pods will have to be regularly replaced.

Samsung Bespoke Jet Plus Pro Extra VS20B95973B

We like: Versatile

We don't like: Fairly noisy

Samsung’s Bespoke Jet Plus Pro Extra cordless vacuum comes with a wet cleaning feature – the wet floor brush and wet pads are included. It also has a striking LCD digital display that shows you the suction power and running time, charging status, error messages and maintenance guide. 

This is a bagless model with a fully washable dustbin. Other accessories include an extendable wand, upholstery nozzle, crevice tool, furniture brush, mini turbo brush, two additional dust bags and an angle tool.

This Vax cordless vacuum cleaner has two power settings to choose from – standard and maximum – and the floorhead has handy headlights so you can see the dust under the sofa while you clean. The brush bar has stiff nylon bristles that can be switched on and off with a button on the handle, depending on the type of floor surface you’re cleaning.

Along with the vac itself, the box contains one lithium-ion battery and charger, a crevice nozzle, dusting brush, and wall mount. It also has an extra mini turbo tool for pet hair and a treated turbo brush bar that's designed to reduce the buildup of bacteria and fungi in its bristles.

How to spot a good deal on a vacuum cleaner

Andrew Laughlin, Which? vacuum cleaner expert, says:

With some vacuums almost perennially on 'special offer', it can be hard to know which deals are genuine money savers. 

Stick to these golden rules to help get the best value with your next purchase.

1. Don't fall for features and accessories

Some models come with impressive-sounding features. Think Flexology (a flexible cleaning tube), or Lift-Away (a removable handheld unit), or Vax's QuickClean (also a removable unit).

While useful, some of these features aren't unique. You'll find similar features across many other brands, just with more conventional names. 

Models in the same range (eg the Samsung Jet range) usually have the same core machine – the only difference is the accessories and supplied floor heads. 

An entry-level model typically costs about £100 less than a premium model with all the accessories, so don't rush into buying a vacuum because of its features, as there could be cheaper options with the same capabilities.

2. Check the price of similar models

Many vacs have a basic package and a more expensive pet variant, which comes with a mini-tool for cleaning up after your furry friends.

In some circumstances, you'd be better off buying the basic model and the pet tool separately.

However, always check the prices of variants, as you might find the pet version on offer for less than the basic model.

3. Check out the latest price data

If a deal seems too good to be true, you can use price comparison sites such as PriceRunner and PriceSpy to check historical price data. 

The data should reveal how regularly a vacuum goes on sale (if it's on 'special offer' for most of the year, the offer isn't all that special) and whether the 'before' price is accurate.

It's worth doing a quick Google search too, as not all retailers' price feeds are picked up by these sites.

4. Shop around

If you have your eyes set on a certain model but can't find a good deal, don't worry. There are plenty more fish in the sea – including cheaper options from alternative brands.

5. Don't pay to recycle your old vacuum cleaner

Some retailers will offer to recycle your old vacuum cleaner, but they usually charge a fee for doing so. Our guide on how to recycle electrical items will help you asses your options. 

How to get deals on specific vacuum brands 

Vacuum deals are available all year round, so if you're after a particular model or brand, you need to know where to look. Read our independent vacuum cleaner reviews or cordless vacuum reviews to ensure you get the best deal.  

Dyson vacuum deals

Based on historical pricing data, we think these prices represent genuinely good savings on some of Dyson's most popular cordless models:

We've noticed that Dyson prices can rise in the months before big sales events such as Black Friday.

Shark vacuum deals

Based on historical data, we think these prices represent genuinely good savings on some of Shark's most popular models:

Also keep in mind that cordless Sharks are sold with one, two or sometimes even three batteries.

If you opt for a package with extra batteries, you can prolong your vacuum's running time and won't have to worry about buying a new battery if one eventually stops working.

You can buy spare batteries from the Shark website for around £70, so the deal only makes sense if the package is a similar price to the single-battery model.

If you live in a smaller property, you probably don't need extra batteries, as a single charge will last long enough to vacuum your home in one go. Any battery faults should be covered by the manufacturer's guarantee for the first two years.

Samsung, Miele, Vax and other vacuum deals

If you're looking to replace your old Samsung with a new model, don't forget to check the Samsung website for trade-in deals for your old appliance. They'll take your old vacuum, price it and then you'll be able to put the money towards a new model.

We've noticed that prices can rise in the months before big sales events such as Black Friday, Christmas sales or Cyber Monday, creating the illusion of huge savings on the day. Always check PriceRunner or PriceSpy to compare historical prices to find out of the model you're after is actually being sold at a low price.
