What Utility Warehouse broadband customers told us

Our research showed that Utility Warehouse broadband customers were generally satisfied with the service they received.

  • 'The broadband is reliable and it's very easy and quick to contact someone in the British customer service centre.'
  • 'They're always happy to help and I get to speak to a human straight away, which is brilliant. I also think it's great value for money. I do think the broadband speed could be a bit better though, it does occasionally drop out.'

Utility Warehouse broadband deals

Utility Warehouse has a choice of several broadband deals, although some are only available in certain areas.

It also offers a range of fibre packages – two are widely available superfast partial-fibre services and have average speeds of approximately 38Mbps or 67Mbps. Its ultrafast full-fibre deals have average speeds of around 98Mbps, 497Mbps and 944Mbps, but are only available in certain locations.

All Utility Warehouse deals include unlimited data, and there's no minimum contract for standard-speed broadband. Minimum contracts are 18 months for fibre. Unusually, all Utility Warehouse's broadband deals have a £10 disconnection fee. However, Utility Warehouse commits to keeping the price of its broadband deals the same for the full length of a customer's contract – unlike several other big broadband providers.

The company also offers energy and mobile deals, as well as home insurance and boiler cover. Discounts are available if you take out more than one service, and it passes on further savings if you use its cashback card.

What is the latest Utility Warehouse router?

Utility Warehouse used to offer a range of different routers and had a rental model, but new customers are now supplied with the provider's UW Wi-Fi Hub for free.

Our lab tests found Utility Warehouse's router had impressive range but struggled when powering multiple devices. It's not compatible with Wi-Fi 6. Find out more about the UW Wi-Fi Hub in our guide to the best wi-fi routers.
