Which? responds to government's pro-growth agenda

Rocio Concha, Which? Director of Policy and Advocacy, said:

"The government's mission to boost economic growth is laudable. But the Prime Minister and Chancellor should be mindful of the risks of exposing consumers to greater harm and the negative effects this could have on growth.

"Far from being a drag on growth, proportionate regulation is a vital part of the economy. It provides guardrails for honest businesses to compete within and gives consumers access to redress if they're ripped off, which gives them confidence to consume and invest. In going for growth, ministers must not lose sight of that."
